In light of Covid-19 we are following all safety and health protocols as we return back to the studio for dance classes! We know this is a difficult time and want to reassure all our dance families that the safety of our dancers, staff, and families is our first priority! We are implementing the following health and safety protocols so that we can all return to dance safely:
practicing physical distancing in common areas as well as our dance studios by providing clear markings and signage for students.
increasing our daily cleaning and cleaning frequently touched surfaces more often.
having hand sanitizer readily available for all dancers and having dancers sanitize or wash their hands when entering the building and prior to joining class.
having anyone entering the building wear face coverings (masks) when entering and moving through common spaces as well as during dance classes.
limiting our class sizes to ensure social distancing.
What To Expect This season Due To Covid-19:
~ Limited classes sizes to ensure physical distancing throughout class as well as in common areas.
~ Anyone entering the building will need to wear a face covering (mask).
~ Anyone entering the building will be required to use hand sanitizer (provided)
~ We have created physical distancing boxes in our studios as well as other markings to help students maintain physical distance throughout their classes.
~ Our lobby, lounge, kitchen, changerooms and homework areas will be closed until further notice.
~ All students must come dressed and ready for classes with all of their belongings (dance shoes, water bottles) in one dance bag or duffel bag that they will bring with them to class.
~ Parents arriving with a child 6 and under can accompany their dancer into the building for drop off and then return to pick them up when class is finished.
~ All students 7 & up will be required to be dropped off at the entrance outside and picked up at the entrance outside until further notice.
~ We ask that no student/parent/staff member that is sick, exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19, or has a fever comes into the building. Please notify us if you are exhibiting symptoms or have tested positive.
~ Please be diligent in screening your children for symptoms prior to arriving at the studio.
~ If another government mandated shutdown occurs for longer than two weeks, please note that all classes will continue as scheduled on Zoom.
~ We will implement any other required safety protocols set by the Ontario government and Region of Durham.
~ Materials, props, and exercise equipment will no longer be shared in classes. A required list of any needed supplies will be sent to you upon registration for classes.
